AXXCON STUDY 2019: INNOVATION CULTURE IN GERMAN COMPANIES.

Hardly any dare to disrupt: German companies are not disciplined and ambitious enough to pursue innovations

In times of highly competitive pressure, digitalisation, and rapidly changing customer requirements, innovations are an important requirement for economic success, this is the unanimous opinion of the managers of German companies. In the current study of the management consultancy AXXCON “Innovation culture in German enterprises: Half-hearted initiatives or ambitious into the future?", 84 percent of the 200 managing directors, IT managers, and business development managers from various industries surveyed declare that innovations play a very large or rather large role in their companies. However - as the results of the survey also clearly show - the companies do not always have clear objectives, the consistency, and a strict orientation to implement it.

For the AXXCON innovation study, 200 managing directors, IT managers, and business development managers have been interviewed by telephone. Companies from the areas of production and mechanical engineering, IT, energy supply, trade, and finance took also part.
