Hubertus Schleuter became the new Senior Executive at AXXCON in early 2017. His previous work and projects have helped him establish close ties with the telecommunications industry. He has expert knowledge from both sides – as a provider and also as a consultant. As a digital expert, he strengthens AXXCON’s expertise in digitalisation and is a driving force behind digital growth in the telecommunications market.
The telecommunications sector also stands to benefit from AXXCON’s strength in the energy industry. Hubertus Schleuter is certain of that. A number of overlaps in terms of both goals and products mean that it will be possible to systematically transfer business models and new approaches, thereby achieving rapid growth.

Where do you see potential and how can you support the telecommunications market?
>> When it comes to digitalisation, companies in the telecommunications industry have a huge potential to quickly acquire new markets and generate an immense head start over their competitors. With my experience in digital services and digital products, I can advise companies on which new paths they should follow and how to quickly translate these into profitable business models – both for the company and for their customers.
Why do you think that as ‘trouble-shooter and implementers’, AXXCON is the right partner for the telecommunications industry?
>> On one hand, because AXXCON has been working in the energy market for several years now. There are plenty of overlaps and it’s easy to find synergies. And on the other hand, because AXXCON has now built up a large team behind it, one that specialises in transformation issues, which is exactly where we find some of the biggest challenges for telecommunications providers.
Tell me more about your plan to establish telecommunications as the fourth key industry for AXXCON, alongside energy, industry and financial services: how do you intend on pushing this expansion?
>> AXXCON’s expertise in fields like IT strategy, digitalisation or transformation can easily be applied to other fields. The tried and tested methods and approaches, which have been used in the energy sector up until now, will also lead to the desired goal – perhaps even faster – in the telecommunications industry.
Of course, we are also looking for more skilled people who also have experience in both digitalisation and telecommunications.
